The goal of this series is to help individuals and families gain the knowledge and skills they need to grow food in their own backyards through a series of classroom lessons and hands-on training. Participants can either elect to take the series or go to individual sessions where they will learn about small-scale food production. Topics: 2/27/2010 – Getting Started; 3/27 – Garden Layout and Design; 4/24 – Preparing Your Garden for Planting; 5/22- Planting and Maintaining your Garden; 6/26-Tackling Garden Pests.
